How to keep the negativity away!
The average person has 60 thousand thoughts in one day and many of them are negative. Once we learn the power we have in navigating our thoughts to support us, everything changes. At times it can feel like our mind is working against us and truthfully it is a lot of time because we are bombarded by negative news, television that is designed to keep us in fear. No wonder there are so many people feeling completely hopeless and mental health is on the rise more than ever.
The truth is we need to protect and guard what we let into our subconscious mind on a daily basis. The subconscious mind is the part of our brain that takes in every stimulus in our environment. Your conscious mind may have not processed everything that is going on around you but your subconscious mind is taking it all in. Becoming aware of how much news you are watching? What types of TV shows are you watching? Is it all to do with the end of the world?
Be more conscious of the types of people you are following on social media. Are these people positive? Do they share uplifting, fun and interesting content then keep them on your platforms, otherwise remove the people that bring you down. Same goes for your relationships, do you feel energized and supported by the people you have in your life or do you feel drained by them. Paying attention to all of these things can support you in feeling good and raising your energy. The truth is negative thoughts take away your precious energy and this can leave you feeling very low.
There is no shame in looking out for yourself and keeping your best interests as the number one priority. This is something I have really struggled with personally, especially in relationships. Becoming more aware of how negative energy effects me has helped me make better choices. Where in your life are you giving your power away?
